    Video:Nesting Box Interchangeable Signs

Recently, I came up with a design idea for a unique interchangeable sign, which I named the “Nesting Box” people could customize and use in their homes. The concept of the Nesting box is quite simple. It looks like a normal table top sign but in fact it is much more. You get to chose your components, and we ship them directly to you! You will receive your sign unfinished and ready decorate. It’s that simple, and the best part of the entire design? DIY Vent Hood Cover from Scrap Wood

This idea blossomed when we decided to update our dark and dreary kitchen to an authentic farmhouse kitchen, which you can rad about HERE. I had always wanted a vent hood cover and since this is our forever home, I decided it was time to take the plunge.…except for one small problem. We had an overhead microwave mounted above the stove. There was no vent pipe redirecting the air, only the microwave and a small set of vents on the top.  I refused to let my dream of having a beautiful vent hood cover fade. My husband and I chewed over…

I have not given it much thought in years past but I am really enjoying the challenge of incorporating the “feel” of Valentine’s without so much of the reds roses and pink plastic hearts.  I created this look by gathering a few signs I had in other rooms of my home and brought them together to capture a central theme. The largest one came right off my master bedroom wall. No kidding! When I decorate it…

    Farmhouse Fall Mantle Reveal

So literally last week I came home to a vintage cast iron mantle sitting in my garage. My husband had done some wheeling and dealing via Facebook Marketplace and snagged this beauty for $120!!! I couldn’t believe it…I had a mantle! I had been swooning over perfectly styled, chippy mantles for years just dreaming of the day I would have my own!  What we had before wasn’t terrible. It too was a gift from the hubby several years ago. I had seen a few different paint jobs and really I had just migrated away from that style in our living space. When…
