Oh hello end of October. It’s been nice knowin ya! Is anyone else feelin this way? I was so eager for October to arrive and now, as we near the end it seems like it has been forever long? Maybe because I spend about half the month chomping at the bit to get started on the blog full-time…either way, wow October is almost over!

In the Geeding house that means this weekend is traditional Christmas tree weekend! For the past few weeks I have been gathering new ornaments and making all the things! And if you don’t already know I am planning to make a shift in my decor for a more neutral look. I have wanted to make the switch for a few years now but have always been hesitant because of cost.

So this year, in the spirit of budget-friendly DIY I have decided to take the leap. And to ease the blo that a big shift like this could make, I have been on the hunt for Christmas ornaments I could create myself!

If you are in the same boat, today is your lucky day. I have already done all the leg work to help you get started with your own transition! Check out these cute little wood block ornaments! Thread with cute ribbon and you’re ready to hang!

I love these because well they are a no-brainer! Simple, cute and practically FREE! Sign me up!

Y’all I am obsessed how beautiful these are! If you have not already seen this tutorial on how to make these adorable rustic wood block stamped ornaments check it out HERE! Or even if you have go look again…they are that cute!

These are so stinkin cute I can hardly stand it! These felt ornaments are definitely not child’s play, they are unique, and full of character!

After seeing this one I am looking at spindles a whole new way! Simply cut an old spindle and attach a hook! It’s that easy! Look at the character they instantly add! I can’t get over it.

This one was inspired out of my love for neutral decor and my desire to incorporate some jumbo ornaments into my tree this year! I really think sometimes simple can be better!

Did I mention that I love simple? Maybe you do too and this one is for you! I love the greenery in the clear ornaments. The good thing is, if you need a little more “wow” add some red berries!

I absolutely LOVE the creativity here! Most of the supplies came from the dollar tree! Check out those jenga blocks.…wow!

Look at this darling little creation! Grab a few scrabble pieces and some hot glue! You can have this little cutie made in no time!

And last but certainly not least is are these beautiful DIY snowflakes crafted from old book pages! A little time, patience and hot glue and you will be on your way to snowflake heaven!

I hope this collection of easy DIY ornaments has left you inspired and ready to create some beauties of your own! A simple neutral farmhouse look is my jam! I would love to know about your preferred decorating style in the comments!

HAPPY CRAFTING!

DIY Wood Plank Bunny

From time to time an idea comes to me and it feels too simple to be true. That is exactly how I felt when I finished this craft. This wood plank bunny started with this simple whitewash pallet plank from Walmart, however a similar look could be achieved with a piece of scrap wood or […]

Easy Biscuit Recipe Using 3 Ingredients

I have never been able to master a easy biscuit recipe until I made the switch to self-rising flour. Mama always told me to make the switch and for some stubborn reason of mine I felt like I was cheating. I know, I know. It seems silly but I was convinced. But I am here […]

DIY Charcuterie Board Ornament

I picked up this pack of 2 mini charcuterie boards from the Target Dollar spot back in the Spring not really knowing what I had planned for them. Honestly they ended up pushed to the back of my craft stash only to reemerge when I was rummaging through my Christmas craft supplies. I pulled them […]
