Thrifty Spring Decor for Your Mantle

Recently, I made a trip to one of my favorite thrift shoppes in town on a mission to gather a few budget-friendly items for my Spring mantle. I didn’t want to go all out Easter‑y with bright eggs and bunnies but did want a tasteful yet fresh look to my space. After browsing the store for about 30 minutes, which must have been a new record for me, I had a collection of vintage prints, old baskets, books and some faux euclyptus stems. I also bought a old chippy birdcage and a sofa table, but that’s a whole different thing.…

Incorporating Vintage Elements into Your Spring Decor

I am a sucker for all things vintage. It is my jam. In my Pinterest searching, I found myself lingering toward inspiration that included natural grasses, flowers, moss ect. and decided to gather a few of my favorites together for those that are like-hearted in their desire to mix in older elements with the natural beauty and newness that Spring brings. Vintage Valentine’s Day Mantle Decor

Ok y’all. So I have jumped on the bandwagon and decided to add just a touch of love to my decor for Valentine’s Day. I have not given it much thought in years past but I am really enjoying the challenge of incorporating the “feel” of Valentine’s without so much of the reds roses and pink plastic hearts.  I created this look by gathering a few signs I had in other rooms of my home and brought them together to capture a central theme. The largest one came right off my master bedroom wall. No kidding! When I decorate it…

    Winter Decor from Amazon

Lately, I have been trying to embrace the coziness the house can bring during the frigid Winter months. It can get quite dreery and drab outside and it can most certainly drag your mood down, especially after the twinkle lights of Christmas have faded. But listen, just because the weather may be yuck and unwelcome, that doesn’t mean you have to feel that way in your home. I am a firm believer in surrounding yourself with what makes you feel good and happy to be home.  With that being said, I have been on the hunt for staple peices and Amazon…

Winter Decor Ideas for After Christmas

Although it is 60 degrees and I have my windows open, winter solstice has officially arrived here in Western Kentucky. Lucky for me this year I have focused more on wintering my decor from the beginning of the holiday season. Aside from taking the Christmas tree down in a few days there is very little I will have to do to transition the homestead into a cozy abode this winter. I hope you enjoy gathering inspiration from these spaces like I did bringing them together. Each idea is unique and would be a wonderful wintery addition to your home. I…
