    Banana Bread with Maple Syrup

Baking goods for breakfast seems to be a trend around here at the homestead. A few weeks ago I made AMISH CINNAMON SWIRL BREAD and this morning we shared a warm loaf of Classic Banana Bread (with a twist). I am excited to share this recipe for your to enjoy in your kitchens. This is a recipes I have used for years but with a surprising twist. Amish Cinnamon Swirl Bread

I made this recipe for the first time this morning. Sunday’s are typically crazy in our house. Rushing for showers and getting ready for church. Due to the current quarantine we watched church from home and kept our social distance but y’all, can I just say, no amount of social distance should keep you from sharing this amazing melt in your mouth recipe with your family and friends.  Speaking of family, I am happy to have had my great grandmothers loaf pans handed down to me. Everytime I use them I can’t help but wonder what all she made with…

    Simple Snowball Butter Cookies

These little snowball butter cookies will literally melt in your mouth. They are soft, dusted in a coat of powdered sugar and are just the right blend of sweet and buttery. Their texture is really hard to compare to other holiday cookies, but what I can say is, if you like a classic holiday butter cookie then you will LOVE these snowball cookies. My hubby and kiddos could hardly keep their little hands out of them. They are a bit messy to eat but I like to think that just adds to the enjoyment. Seeing the little crumb trails and…

Old-Fashioned Homemaking and Simple DIY Living

Old-fashioned homemaking and simple DIY Living isn’t all about being a stay at home mom, although, that certainly is a big part of my personal experience. Rather is is about embracing a slower paced and intentionally simple lifestyle. Back in the day this type of lifestyle was the standard way of living. Today, no so much. I am on a mission to help women embrace this lifestyle and to encourage them that it is possible in today’s world. Women of all ages should feel confident in nuturing their home and spaces in a way that feels wholesome.  “I am beginning…
