    Easy Christmas Candle Display

I am elbows deep in packing boxes and cleaning out soooo much clutter before we move. That is how I discovered the peices for this little gem. I was in my “office” which has really just become a storage area forall of my supplies and projects when I came across these candles, and an old broken tray. They were not stored together and, in fact, separately, they all looked pretty sad. With me being in clean-out mode they were tossed mindlessly into the donate box.  Yep, this project almost didn’t even happen. It wasn’t until I was loading things into…

I have been making the heck out of some Christmas ornaments lately. I am looking for any and every way to add something cute to my tree and it’s new theme without breaking the bank. Making ornaments has never really somehting I have been too passionate about until now simply because I typically like to my tree to be perfectly styled and “themed”. Nonetheless, all of the homemade ornaments are staring to grow on me. This tree in particular is taking on a more modern, neutral vibe without sacrificing that little something special. This ornament is super easy, cheap and…

    Pieces of Me

The Story of the Patchwork Quilt  So just to paint the scene here, I am writing this in between sips of Sprite and chicken noodle soup all while being wrapped up in an old patchwork quilt I helped my Grannie to make yearrrrs ago. As a kid, I remember my Grannie’s little sewing room. It was an enclosed front porch area with lots of windows. There were nice waist-high cabinets all around, which she never used simply because they were buried under years and years of fabric and sewing supplies. Instead, she chose to sit in a squeaky old chair at…

    $3 Nativity Makeover

I have been searching for the perfect nativity scene to add to my Christmas decor for a few years now. Though they are beautiful, I never could bring myself to spend so much money on a set. Luckily, in most most recent trip to one of my favorite pickin’ spots, I came across this little diamond in the rough! It was not in pristine condtion but all the peices were there and it was in decent shape. I snagged it for $3, stuffed it in a box and brought it home!  Talk about a steal! My heart was elated.  As you…

Easy DIY Stamped Wood Block Ornaments

I encourage you to stick this one out until the end. I think you will be presently surprised.  I started with these cute little pre-cut wood blocks I have available in R+R SUPPLY. How to Make a Rustic Embroidery Hoop Wreath

This DIY embroidery hoop wreath is the perfect addition to your rustic Christmas decor. This project started much like the others, with a trip to the thrift store! Which if you know me, is my absolute favorite place to shop for supplies. I always keep my eye open for wood hoops, wood utensils and any other pieces that can be repurposed. When I’m not thrifting I am raiding the scrap wood pile for supplies. That is exactly why I created Roost + Restore Supply; to give people access to the wood you need to make your projects come to life!…
