Seasoning wood is oddly satisfying to me.…I love seeing the life come back in to the grains. Without the oils, the woods tends to dry, crack and eventually break so it’s important to care for them properly. I love the idea of keeping these around to pass down so keeping them nice and oiled is important. I use the same mineral oil/natural wax on all my kitchen woods. It’s nice and creamy without leaving a greasy feel to the touch. This will help them last longer and perform better in the long run. Flax seed oil and olive oil will…

I started making tea again about 7 years ago when Josh and I were first married. Tea for this gal is best served cold and sweeeet. Southern style I guess you could say. And…

I made this recipe for the first time this morning. Sunday’s are typically crazy in our house. Rushing for showers and getting ready for church. Due to the current quarantine we watched church from home and kept our social distance but y’all, can I just say, no amount of social distance should keep you from sharing this amazing melt in your mouth recipe with your family and friends. Speaking of family, I am happy to have had my great grandmothers loaf pans handed down to me. Everytime I use them I can’t help but wonder what all she made with…
