We’re supporting our local farmer (and artisans) this month inside of our September DIY Decor Box!
It’s here! It’s here! The September DIY Decor Box is here!!!
Yes, I sound like a kid in a candy store, but can you blame me? I am in love with this month’s creative decorating experience and know you will be too!

What’s a DIY Decor Box?
I’m glad you asked!
The DIY Decor Box is a creative decorating experience curated by myself and the R+R team, mailed to your door each month. When you join, not only do you receive a unique DIY decor project and a dough bowl candle kit, you gain access to an exclusive Facebook community, and receive a special discount to Roost+Restore Home.
The best part?
You can now sign up anytime of the month!
So, what’s so special about the September DIY Decor Box that has me all giddy?

We’re teaching you how to make your very own dough bowl candle! How cool is that? I partnered with my wood guy, Jason of Burnett Woodwerks from Fancy Farm, KY, to bring each subscriber a hand carved Kentucky dough bowl. I not only love the way these dough bowls look, I love that we teamed up with Jason to source these beautiful pieces locally so we can proudly call them Made in USA!
And that’s not all!
In addition to your very own hand carved dough bowl, you’re going to need to have some candle wax, and that’s why we have teamed up with Melissa, of Circle Y Candle Co. in Forney, TX to make a signature Roost+Restore scent each month!

Each month we will work with Melissa to bring you delicious smelling scents for you to refill your dough bowl with! The September DIY Decor Box is featuring a Roost+Restore Home best selling scent: Sweet Tobacco!
All new subscribers will receive a hand carved dough bowl in their first box, and each box after will feature a new yummy repour kit. No more wondering about what to do with all your leftover dough bowls!

And don’t worry, each box comes with an instruction booklet, featuring a note from myself, inspiration, and includes full instructions for each DIY.
You’ll also gain access to our exclusive DIY Decorator Community on Facebook where I go live a few times a month to DIY Live that month’s projects. And, as I have said before, I love seeing how each member adds their own twist to the DIY project we provide in the kit.
In addition to making your own dough bowl candle, your other DIY Project for the month is this adorable reclaimed Barn Wood Fall DIY Craft sourced locally from Metropolis, Illinois. What I love about this DIY project is that it’s a fun piece of Fall decor, but it also ties into this month’s theme: Support Your Local Farmer (hence the sweet cotton stem), and you’ll receive your own 8x10 coordinated picture and matching printable to display proudly in your home.
But wait! There’s more!
Everything I have mentioned above is included in the Original DIY Decor Box, but if you’re anything like me, you’re going to want more. 🙂
And that is why we have added additional tiers for you to choose from to personalize your experience each month!
Includes everything in the DIY Decor Box + 1 coordinating tiered tray kit
Includes everything in the DIY Decor Box + 1 coordinating Tultex Crew-Neck tee
Includes everything in the DIY Decor Box + 1 coordinating tiered tray kit + 1 coordinating Tultex Crew-Neck tee
The tiered tray kit includes laser cut, on theme pieces that are perfect for your tiered trays or to style into a cute vignette. What’s even better is the tiered tray kit is EXCLUSIVE to the DIY Decor Box. You won’t be able to buy these kits alone in the store. If you love DIY, adding on the tiered tray kit is the way to go!
I love getting to design a new t‑shirt each month that coordinates with with our theme. I’m also proud to support another small business by having our shirts printed locally each month!
Have I convinced you yet to be as excited as I am? 🙂
