I have wanted my own chippy terrarium for a long while now. I have seen super cute terrarium DIY’s s all over Pinterest and decided that the project was cute enough to share with my DIY Decor subscription group! This is a once a month subscription where I get to send a super cute decor project to their door each month!
How fun is that?

This is what came in the May 2022 box.
- Terrarium
- 12″ Primrose half sphere
- 2oz Matte White Paint
- 1″ chip brush
- 80 grit sandpaper
- 3 Mini finials

This cute little number was designed by us here at the shoppe but hand crafted by a local friend at Burnett Woodwerks. Jason knocks our vision out of the park every single time! I love how this little terrarium is proportioned and crafted with such precision. It reminds me a lot of a cute little lantern and is definitely versatile enough to be used all around the home. I am teaching the neatest technique for weathered chippy paint for this project! Just wait until you see how easy it is to recreate that chippy look with only 2 steps! (More on that coming soon!)

Each subscriber gets a cute little box of supplies to complete the featured project for the month. Typically, minimal assembly is required with the exception of a few simple household tools. This months supplies for their chippy terrarium DIY included 3 mini finials for embellishing, 2 ounces of a pure white matte paint, a chip paint brush and 80 grit sandpaper!

The finishing touch to this terrarium is this STUNNING primrose half sphere! Each quarter we introduce a new theme to the box and this quarter we have dove deep into “greenery” with our March box and have big plans for June too!
